Dave Gardner is a nationally recognized leader in Career & Technical Education (CTE). His passion for CTE began in high school with Graphics coursework, leading to a 22-year teaching career across Utah. During his university years, he won back-to-back national gold medals in Graphic Communications through SkillsUSA, a tradition of excellence he continued with his students.
For the past 15 years, Dave has served as the CTE Director in Washington County School District, driving innovation and growth in CTE programs. Under his leadership, the district launched Utah's first Career & Technical High School and developed a district-wide Career Pathways program using YouScience Aptitude and Career Discovery results. This initiative helps students create customized career guidance plans starting in 7th grade, proving critical in identifying individualized opportunities and leading to greater success in career mapping and national skills certification recognition.
