About Andrea

Andrea Smith is currently the Superintendent for North Point Educational Service Center, located in northern Ohio serving school districts in Erie, Huron, Ottawa & Sandusky counties.

Mrs. Smith began her career at her alma mater, Fremont City Schools. She held several roles in Fremont, including elementary teacher, Director of State & Federal Projects, and Principal of Atkinson Elementary for ten years.

In 2008, Mrs. Smith was hired by North Point to serve as the Director of Curriculum & Instruction for the Benton-Carroll-Salem Local School District in Oak Harbor. After four years, she was promoted by North Point to Assistant Superintendent, a position she held for 12 years before transitioning into the superintendency in 2024.

Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master's degree in reading from Bowling Green State University. She completed her administrative coursework from the University of Findlay. She has thirty-one years of experience in education.
